Chateau Chantal is collecting Toys for Tots, and they just got their boxes! That’s our cue to go fill them up with brand new, unwrapped toys for kids in our local community who might not otherwise get a toy for Christmas. Drop off toys any time during Chateau Chantal’s open hours –┬áSunday-Friday 11-5, and Saturday 11-6.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.

Their mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

The NW Michigan Marine Toys for Tots serves the counties of Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Antrim, Kalkaska and Benzie, and the toys are sorted at our local Coast Guard facility. Learn more about Toys for Tots at their website and Facebook page.

And be sure and support Chateau Chantal for all of the good things they do for our Old Mission Peninsula and greater community. Visit their website and Facebook page.
