Murray Road … you might be wondering where exactly that is on the Old Mission Peninsula, but also assuming that it’s somewhere out towards the end. I actually had to look at a Google map, because I wasn’t sure of the official name of the road, and I’m not sure it’s marked on a sign anywhere (will look next time I’m out there).

If you start at Swaney Road in Old Mission and drive north out Brinkman Road to the end, that hooks up with Murray Road, named for the Murray family who owned and farmed much of that land before it became Old Mission Point Park with all the awesome trails through there.

Today’s Photo of the Day is looking east from that Brinkman Road/Murray Road intersection. This photo was taken a few days ago, though, so I’m guessing a lot of those leaves have blown off after the winds we’ve had the past few days.

It’s been eons since I’ve seen any of the Murrays, but here’s a bench along the trail at Old Mission Point Park celebrating Evan Murray’s life.
