Seeing cherries in local grocery stores imported from Washington State has always been a sore spot among local farmers. I guess I’m ok with it during times when local cherries aren’t ripe enough for picking (at this point, they’re just tiny green nubs).
It’s when you see imported cherries during our harvest season that it’s irksome. Anyway, I noticed these while wandering through Family Fare today. They don’t look all that appetizing, do they?
