My cherry-farming brother Dean Johnson says harvest is about a week away. Cherries are starting to get to that special ripeness, though.
You can tell a sprayer went through here not long ago. If you go outside on any clear night, you can hear the sound of sprayers across the Peninsula. They spray at night because there’s generally less wind than during the day.
