We had a storm here last night like nothing anyone has ever seen before. The sky turned greenish-gray, golf-ball-sized hail came down, and the winds whipped up, crashing trees onto homes, cars and roads. Power lines were strewn everywhere, and the entire Peninsula lost power – along with much of northern Michigan.
After the storm, we ventured down the driveway and were met with this tree near the bottom. Like any good Michigander, we have a chainsaw, but our neighbors, Pat and Deb, had one handy, so we cut our way out of the driveway with theirs.
