I love the beautiful war memorial at the Lighthouse dedicated to all the veterans from the Old Mission Peninsula. This being Veteran’s Day, no better time to celebrate those folks, many of whom are related to me and Tim, including his dad Tug Boursaw (WWII), my dad Walter Johnson (WWII), my uncle Guy Johnson (WWII), and my grandma Stella Johnson’s first husband, Frank Edgecomb (WWI).

My uncle Tug Boursaw. Although they aren’t on the memorial. My uncle Jack, Jim and Bryce Boursaw are all Veterans. I’m not sure if Jerry was in the service. I recognized alot of the last names from the many stories. I say this with love and pride. I am so proud of my uncles and am very proud to be related to the Boursaws. All of them!!!! Love you all
We love you, too, Mary! I hope Peninsula Township will create a memorial for veterans of the Korean, Vietnam and other wars. Plenty of space in that circle out by the lighthouse.
