Flip-Flops in December | Jane Boursaw Photo
Old Mission Gazette

I love snow, but it’s been kind of nice having a mild fall and beginning of winter, because we’re still trying to figure out the wood stove chimney. Tonight, I wore flip-flops to yoga, which is generally unheard for this time of year. All the winter coats, hats and footwear are up from the basement and ready to go, but we really haven’t needed them too much yet.

The other reason I love this weather is because it’ll make February – which by the calendar is the shortest month of the year, but here in northern Michigan is known as “the longest month” of the year – a little easier to take.
