Everyone who’s anyone shows up at the annual Jankowski House Party, where musicians from all over gather to play music and be merry.
On the right is the amazing Myles Boothroyd, who according to his website is an Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at Roberts Wesleyan College and a graduate teaching assistant at the Eastman School of Music, where he’s pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree. (I know, right?!)

Second horn from the right is Al Jankowski (you might run into him at Marshall Music in Traverse City or playing, well, everywhere), and to the left of him is the guy I consider to be my first jazz music teacher, Mike Davis. In the 1970s, we had a band called Dayspring and often played at the Damascus Road Coffee House, on the corner of Birmley and Garfield in Traverse City. Check out the Mike Davis Trio website.
Al’s wife, Michele Zebell (keyboard), and I (violin) play in the band at the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church every Sunday. Come out and see us!

Also, on the right side is the dynamite Myles Boothroyd.
