It’s not uncommon this time of year to see snowmobiles parked, well, anywhere. Here are a few in the parking lot at Peninsula Grill awaiting the return of their drivers for a cold ride home!
I grew up on snowmobiles, and I’m sure my brothers still have some around the farm. In fact, now that I think about it, there’s one sitting down the hill from our house. Will have to grab a pic of it on my next walk (it hasn’t seen any movement in years and, honestly, I always froze my you-know-what off on them).
And, well, there was that one wild ride with my friend Stevie Cosgrove in the 1980s. I might have started to ponder my snowmobiling days while sitting behind him on a midnight trip from Smokey Hollow back to his house on Center Rd.

What a blustery looking night. Very fun – you could make a short story out of it. “On a cold and blustery night, a blizzard slowly started to erupt and our snowmobiles began to be covered with enormous snow flakes that hid them from site…” Ha – okay, your turn.
