I had to get away from the computer today (one of those days), so took a walk down the beach, then circled around and came back down the hill through the woods in the back of our property. Lots of woodland goodness.
Things are very spongy back there, and I really need to find my rubber boots for my next woodland adventure. Also trying to figure out the best way to photograph running water. One of the cool things about a woodland stream is hearing that soothing sound of running water through the woods – which, obviously, you don’t get with a photograph.
If you try and photograph the whole stream, it sort of all blends in together. So I decided to try for a close-up, which is what this photo is. A tiny waterfall in the middle of the stream that meanders down through the woods and into East Bay. Needless to say, my sneakers got soaked. Totally worth it, though.
