It’s maple syrup time! And there are plenty of options made right here on the Old Mission Peninsula. Including Warren Orchards’ Between the Bays, on Island View Road.

And if you drive up the road to Old Mission Peninsula School, you’ll see the little blue bags hanging on the trees in the woods on the left. The collected liquid is made into syrup right on the farm, and sold at the farm stand there.

I believe Fred Dohm also has maple syrup available at his stand on Center Road, on the left before you get to Old Mission Tavern. I know the trees along Smokey Hollow are being tapped, as well. That might be John DeVol.

Tell us in the comments if you know of other Old Mission farmers and residents offering maple syrup, and I’ll add it into this post.

(H/T to Nancy Davy for this “Photo of the Day” idea!)
