I fed the birds squirrels and boy, do they love that food. It’s usually only oiled sunflower seeds, but if there’s any discretionary income, I cut it with the No-Mess Plus Blend from Wild Birds Unlimited in Traverse City. That blend includes sunflower seeds, peanuts, oats, cherries, cranberries and other yummy stuff.
Some people think of squirrels as furry rats with poofy tails, which I guess they sort of are. But they’re awful darn cute. And as office-mates, they provide hours of enjoyment while I sit at this computer day after day.
