Old Mission Peninsula Eagle

I had to kill some time while waiting for my daughter to get out of work at Chateau Chantal, so I drove out to Mission Point Lighthouse (website here) – aka “The Lighthouse” (that’s what everyone out here calls it).

Snapped this photo at the open space are before you get to the turn-offs, just as the sun was going down. I love that there’s a birch tree growing pretty much on the beach there.

We don’t have a lot of ice on East Bay, and this is the most ice I’ve seen on West Bay. Not much, but you could still skate on it.
