We have a wonderful new library on Woodmere Avenue now (officially, the Traverse Area District Library or TADL), but the old library on Sixth Street in Traverse City will always hold a special place in my heart.
In high school, my friends and I used to study there sometimes, in the old section of the library, just inside the door where I snapped this photo today.
So this Photo of the Day is in celebration of my dear friends, Rita Gregory, Charlotte Olney, Joyce Starr, Kelly Hartley, Bob Gilbo, Bob Terry and so many others. I think of you all often, and especially when I pass by the old library where we used to crack open the books.
