Photo of the Day: April 16, 2016 – Poppycock’s in Downtown Traverse City


We had a two-for-one coupon for Mackinac Brewing, but the place was packed (as in, “an hour’s wait” packed), that  we went down the street to Poppycock’s and had a great meal.

It was also crowded, but there was room for us at the bar, which is where I took this photo of someone’s pretty drink down the way. We also were fascinated watching the drink-maker mix drinks. It looks very complicated!

Oh, and on the drink board in front of us was a wine from Two Lads Winery on the Old Mission Peninsula. We’re everywhere. Check out Poppycock’s website here.

  1. You have to get to Mackinaw Brewing about 5:00 if you want to get in without waiting. It fills up fast after that. We went last night and one other time at 5:00 and didn’t have a problem.
    Have never been to Poppycock’s. How was the food?
