Photo of the Day: May 18, 2016 – Little League at Bowers Harbor Park

Did you know there’s a thriving Little League right here in northern Michigan? There is, and you can find out more about the Traverse City Little League, right here, including their schedule.

Lately, there’s been Little League activity at Bowers Harbor Park when I get out of yoga at 7, so I swung through and snapped a few pics. It’s so neat to see games being played at Bowers Harbor Park again.

People who grew up on the Old Mission Peninsula in the 1960s and 70s might remember the Peninsula RedEyes (not exactly Little League, but fun softball games – well, until the Bowers Harbor Fracus, but that’s for another post). And I’m sure there were plenty of games played there in prior decades.
