Here’s a photo from the other night when I was kayaking on East Bay. It was one of those beautiful days where I said to myself, “I’ve GOT to get into the kayak today!”
Well, with work and everything, it was 9 p.m. by the time I got out there, but those evening times on the bay are very precious and beautiful. Right after I took this photo, a big fish swam underneath me.
I’m not a fish person, so have no idea what it might have been, but it looked kind of spotted. Trout? Carp? Growing up in Old Mission, we saw a lot of carp along the shore, and my brothers used to try and spear them among the tall reeds. Those long spears are probably still in my mom’s garage somewhere.
