We’ll call this my “Blue Angels Take 1” series. They’re in town for the National Cherry Festival, and they’re doing three shows while they’re here (plus practices). My plan is to try and get to all the shows, and hopefully by the last one, I’ll have figured out how to take photos of them.
Here’s the first batch. I was at Bryant Park at the base of Old Mission Peninsula, along with about a thousand other people. I took about 200 photos and most of them were the tail-ends of planes, wisps of their trails, mists of clouds, and small blobs somewhere in the distance. My loose strategy is to point the camera at a section of sky and hope the planes fly through it.

Oh, and it was very fun seeing my friend Marge Long and her family there. She turned the tables and took a photo of ME taking photos of the planes! 🙂
Oh, and here’s a little Parking PSA for you. Don’t park along the road by the fence at the park. I (and everyone else who parked there) got a ticket for $15. Seriously, there’s one tiny “No Parking” sign along that stretch, and why people can’t park there is beyond me. You’re on the side of the road – it’s not like you’re blocking anything. I mean, good grief. Anyhoo…
