Here we are again at one of my favorite photo locales, the Neahtawanta Inn. Fortunately, I have plenty of opportunities to take photos, since I’m there twice a week for yoga with my teacher Sally Van Vleck.
A lot of the older homes and resorts on the Old Mission Peninsula are blessed with these great old stone walls and fences. Here’s one from Stonewall Inn over on Smokey Hollow Road, and there’s some beautiful stone walls out on Old Mission Resort, too.
I’m not sure what the flowers are here, but I think probably some kind of wild rose like my grandma, Stella Johnson, used to have climbing up a trellis at her house. So pretty.

Thanks for taking this photo and sharing it, Jane. The roses didn’t do as well this year; perhaps a bit of neglect on the busy innkeeper’s side of things! Still, at least they did bloom!
I think they’re beautiful. And remind me of my grandma’s wild roses. 🙂
