The Traverse Area Camera Club has scheduled a photo-shoot outing on the Old Mission Peninsula this Friday, July 15.
Meet in the parking lot of the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church, 16426 Center Road, at 4:30 p.m. From there, they’ll go a half-block north to Old Mission Flowers, 16550 Center Road, where owner Ginny Coulter welcomes the club to take photos of her U-Pick garden (which is gorgeous – check out some of my photos here).

Then on to Hooper’s Farm Gardens, owned by Bruce and Terry Hooper, 2399 Kroupa Road. They have a beautiful flower garden and are busy all summer making arrangements for weddings and events.
Then to Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery, 3309 Blue Water Road, to check out their new Secret Garden, which just opened (photo of their stunning lavender here).
And onward to Buchan’s Blueberry Hill, 1472 Nelson Road, for home-made ice cream, apple pie and apple pie ice cream (yes, Mrs. Buchan makes the pies that go into the ice cream!).
