We’re getting to that point in the year – heading into fall – where the clouds just take your breath away. Big, fat, fluffy clouds everywhere you look on the Old Mission Peninsula.
I shot this photo from winery hill, only looking east instead of west, which gets all the glory because of Power Island and the vineyards of Chateau Grand Traverse.
I just read a story about a photojournalist who went to famous places around the world and instead of shooting the iconic scene, turned his camera around and shot in the opposite direction. It can be pretty magnificent.
