While taking photos at West End Beach the other day, I happened to shoot a few pics of some passing boats. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized one of those boats was “Miss Alexandra,” owned by my friends Jake and Cindy Anderson.
Their daughter Alex (aka “Alexandra”) was in my daughter Marissa’s class, so our two families have been connected since they were in elementary school together at Old Mission Peninsula School, all the way through Traverse City Central High School, where both girls were in orchestra together.

Thanks for being my Photo of the Day, Jake and Miss Alexandra! (I swear I wasn’t stalking you.) Here’s a few more pics (including one of the spectacular Cowell house on Peninsula Drive, which is currently for sale, if you’ve got the cash).
Oh, I almost forgot – Jake is related to the Nevinger family, who owned the Old Mission Inn at one time (all the time I was growing up in Old Mission). We’ve talked about getting together to chat about that for Old Mission Gazette, so we’ll make that happen soon.
