For anyone who says we never go anywhere – look! We went to the U.P. for the weekend! For those who live somewhere other than Michigan, that’s the Upper Peninsula aka Da Yoop. (And seriously, why would we ever go anywhere when we live on the Old Mission Peninsula? We’re already in the best place on the planet.)
I am not allowed to say exactly where we were, lest crowds of people flock there to fish and hunt. However, I will just say that it was nice to spend a few days with my brother Ward and his lovely wife Carol at their gorgeous cabin on a remote lake – even if I did freak out at the idea of no wifi or cell coverage. Hey, I read a whole book! (“Wayward Pines”)
