While driving down Munson Avenue the other day, I noticed that “The 81 on East Bay” now has an office in Traverse City. Neither of their two plans currently in review by Peninsula Township has gotten the go-ahead, but based on the sign, they must be confident that one of them will.
The accompanying Insight Building sign is under the same umbrella as “The 81 on East Bay.” You’ll notice that’s the sign in front of the new home on Bluff Road (rumored to be the home of “The 81” developer Kevin O’Grady), on the bay side heading north, just before you get to The Bluffs.

Their office in Traverse City is on Munson Avenue, on the right side of the road between the 7-11 and Munson Community Health Clinic. If I’m not mistaken, it might be the same building where my dentist, Dr. Graham, had his office in the 1960s, though I’ve tried to block that out of my memory.
