An autopsy report has been completed following the death of 49-year-old Sonja Olshove, who was an instructor at Northwestern Michigan College.
According to the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office, the final forensic autopsy report lists the cause of death as drowning and the manner of death as accidental. The toxicology portion of the report showed no signs of alcohol or drugs in her system, and the pathologist determined there were no signs of foul play.
Olshove’s body was found on the beach in September by a nearby resident in Peninsula Township. She was an instructor in the social sciences department at NMC since 1991.
