We were headed into town to run some errands today, and right around Don Shea’s house (corner of Center Road and Wilson Road), we saw a guy taking a bunch of decoy ducks out into East Bay (I thought they were real at first!). So of course, we stopped to get the scoop.
The hunter, Mike Borsuck, said he was hoping to attract a specific duck called a Goldeneye, which you can see here. I don’t know if he was successful, but he had plenty of decoys to get the job done. And it sure looked cold in that water. That’s commitment!
A little bit of sleuthing revealed that Mike is in the Coast Guard and recently married Rebecca Morman. Best wishes to you two! (And happy duck hunting!)
