The Old Mission General Store will always have a special place in my heart. I grew up just down the road from the store (to the right of this picture), and have so many childhood memories wrapped up in this store, from getting candy out of Bob DeVol’s “penny candy box” he kept under the counter to catching the school bus there.
The day after my son, Will, graduated from high school, he went down to the store and got a job there, where he worked for several years with the current owners, Jim and Marcy Richards. Long live the Old Mission General Store!
