Many thanks to Rick Laney for today’s Photo of the Day – beautiful snowmobile tracks in Weatherholt’s field on Old Mission Road.
So many memories wrapped up in this photo. I grew up just around the corner in Old Mission, so we used to snowmobile over here and make tracks ourselves with our first machine – a Panther. I just came across a photo of my brother Ward and me on that sled, but of course, can I find it now? When I do, you guys will be the first to know.
And of course, I have a lifelong history with the Weatherholt’s, dating back to Mrs. DeWitt’s kindergarten class at Old Mission Peninsula School, when Dave and I were beaus. He might not remember that. 🙂
