We’re in the midst of the January Thaw on the Old Mission Peninsula, which means it’s very foggy right now. While driving back from Old Mission just now, I grabbed this shot of Smokey Hollow Road, just south of the Ladd Road intersection.

With those massive trees along the road, you half expect to see Ichabod Crane appear out of the fog, the headless horseman galloping along behind him.

Before we built this house, we rented the old Leighton place for a few years (the big old house along there with the trees lining the driveway). One of our favorite things to do was walk among those beautiful old trees.
