Today’s Photo of the Day is of some ice on East Bay. There’s not a lot there; just a few ice-covered rocks and tiny icebergs in near shore.
Will the bay freeze or not? That’s what all the locals usually start wondering about this time of year. And it’s always hard to tell. Even though it’s been somewhat of a warm-ish winter so far, things could take a deep dive into polar vortex territory and make all the ice fisher-people happy. Sometimes the bay doesn’t freeze until late February or early March.
