Here’s something you don’t expect to see in March – windsurfers dodging ice floes in Old Mission Harbor. After church, I stopped down to my mom’s house in Old Mission and about fell over when I saw someone surfing out in front of her house. So I waded through the snow down to the beach and took a few pictures.

Then I noticed there wasn’t just one surfer. There were a half-dozen or so, with most of them riding the waves right around Old Mission Harbor. So I drove down to Haserot Beach and took more pictures.

And yes, these people are insane. Their bodies seemed to be pretty well covered, but from what I could tell, their faces were bare skin. I can’t imagine what that must have felt like when they hit the water. Or maybe they have no feeling left in their face at this point.
