Photo of the Day: Roadside Chicory on Smokey Hollow Road

0

One of the very cool things about living on the Old Mission Peninsula – or anywhere in northern Michigan – is the abundance of the beautiful blue roadside flowers known as chicory.

Chicory boasts a whole range of medicinal and culinary uses, which you can read more about here, but I just love looking at it along our roads.

I’m still working on my close-up photography skills – always a work in progress – and a big thank-you to this super productive bee for being today’s Photo of the Day. I shot this near the corner of Smokey Hollow Road and Ladd Road.
