There’s still time to join the Old Mission Women’s Club for Trivia Night on Friday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at the Traverse City Country Club, 1725 South Union Street in Traverse City. It’s a great cause, because the proceeds will benefit non-profit organizations in the Grand Traverse area. The club has a long history as a charitable organization, dating back to its inception in 1931.
The cost is $35 per person, which includes a light buffet, game entry fee, and cash prizes! The buffet and a cash bar will happen from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the trivia games happening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Let the games begin!
Old Mission Gazette is Reader Supported.

If you want to throw together a team, that’s great, but you can also just show up and join a team there. To participate, email [email protected] for the registration form and information.
Also, the Old Mission Women’s Club now has a Facebook page! Check it out right here. (Full disclosure: I am a member of the Old Mission Women’s Club.) 🙂

SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT LOCAL NEWSPAPER: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So I started my own newspaper.
Because Old Mission Gazette is a "Reader Supported Newspaper" -- meaning it exists because of your financial support -- I hope you'll consider tossing a few bucks our way if I mention your event, your business, your organization or your news item, or if you simply love reading about what's happening on the OMP. In a time when local news is becoming a thing of the past, supporting an independent community newspaper is more important now than ever. Thank you so much for your support! -Jane Boursaw, Editor/Publisher, Old Mission Gazette
