Friday, Oct. 27, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. – A Special PCL Haunting!
A special haunting happens at Peninsula Community Library and Old Mission Peninsula School tonight – Friday, Oct. 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Stop by the library where the ghosts and goblins of Old Mission come out from their hidey holes in the stacks to scare us in good old fashioned fun. Snacks and a craft will be available in the cafeteria, as well as dancing in the spookiness of the gym. At 7:30, gather in the gym for storytelling with Witch Wendy! Grownups and kids of all ages welcome!

Saturday, Oct. 28, 8 a.m. – Men’s Breakfast
Join your friends and neighbors for a delicious “Men’s Breakfast” at Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church. This is a community event which takes place on the last Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. All Old Mission Peninsula men are invited to attend. The church is located at 16426 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula.
Monday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m. – Short-Term Rentals Discussion
The Peninsula Township Planning Commission is holding a special meeting to discuss the current status of Short-Term Rentals on the Old Mission Peninsula. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the meeting will include a roundtable discussion about the issue. The meeting will be held at the Peninsula Township Hall, 13235 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula. More info here.
Tuesday, Oct. 31, 5 – 9 p.m. – Halloween at Bewitched Farm
Grownups and kids of all ages are invited to stop by Bewitched Farm on Halloween night! Owners Martha and Roger Myers say the barn is all decorated with ghosts and goblins, and everyone is welcome to stop by, pick up a treat and check out the barn. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Trick-or-Treating at OMPUMC
Bring your kids by the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church on Halloween night for trick-or-treating. In addition to treats, the church folks will be serving hot dogs, chips, donuts, apple cider, hot chocolate and coffee. No charge! Come join the fun. The church is located at 16426 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula.
Wednesday, Nov. 1, 7 p.m. – Park Commission Meeting
The Peninsula Township Park Commission will hold their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 7 p.m. at the Township Hall, 13235 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula. They will be discussing the Park Commission’s long-range plan and consideration of a motion to publish the draft long-range plan for at least 30 days of public input. Also, an update from the DNR regarding Kelley Park, near Haserot Beach. As always, there will be time for citizen comments.
