I can’t quite decide if we’ve reached peak color season on the Old Mission Peninsula or not. There’s certainly a lot of color as you drive around the neighborhood, but there are also lots of leaves coming down. And while there’s a lot of color, it seems like we haven’t really reached peak color yet. Maybe we did and I missed it.
At any rate, today’s Photo of the Day is of the fall colors looking west from the Hogsback (on Center Road, just past the Smokey Hollow Road turn-off). This is my brother Dean Johnson’s farm, and again, while the colors are gorgeous, I’m thinking this week and weekend might be peak color.

Or not. What do you guys think? I took this photo on Sunday on my way home from church, so two days ago. With all the wind and rain we’ve had this week, maybe last weekend was the best weekend for color on the Old Mission Peninsula.

I have to agree. I’m not sure we’ve reached peak. After all of this rain, there may not be many leaves left to further show their glorious colors.
Pretty awesome!
