Traverse City Central High School is performing “Les Miserables,” and there are TWO performances left. One is tonight, but you still have time to get there by 7, and I’m guessing tickets will be available at the box office.
I love seeing the high school musicals every year for a few reasons, not the least of which is that I always hark back to the time when I played for musicals in that same auditorium years ago. It was especially surreal to watch my daughter play violin in the pit orchestra in the same spot where I played so many years ago.

She’s off to college now, but I still love seeing the kids perform, and I’m always amazed at how truly talented these kids are. “Les Miz” is a complicated storyline, and the TC Central High School team brings it to life beautifully. I saw the performance earlier this week and managed to sneak in a few clandestine photos (you’re not supposed to take photos, so of course, I did).
There’s a performance tonight at 7 p.m., and one tomorrow at 2 p.m. Grab your tickets at the box office when you get there, or at MyNorthTickets.com. Here are some photos from the performance I saw this week (“Black” cast).
