Oh, how just a few days can make a big difference. Especially when it comes to the weather in northern Michigan. Not long ago we had beautiful fall colors and lots of leaves on the trees (as evidenced here). But after a few days of high winds and a bit of snow, things are looking somewhat bleak around here.

Like many locals, though, I don’t mind (too much) because it means we have the Old Mission Peninsula to ourselves again after all the visitors and tourists crowded our Peninsula during the summer months (which I don’t mind either! I know they help to keep our local economy chugging along).

Today’s Photo of the Day is of snowy and beautifully desolate Brinkman Road in the little village of Old Mission, looking north from about the intersection of Woodland Road.
