Dear Friends of the Peninsula,
Finally, the time is at hand. After one adjournment and two postponements, the second half of the Township Board public hearing on The 81 development will happen on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 12675 Center Road. Read more about tomorrow’s public hearing here.

After almost three years of public hearings, lawsuits and maneuvering, the answer will be given be on the 12th. This will be the long awaited Township Board vote on this ill-planned and environmentally dangerous development as proposed.
I am asking all of you for your attendance as a show of support of what we have done for the last three years in fighting this. It will also show the Board that we are united and care about this issue. They know that the vast majority of residents and homeowners are against this project. I couldn’t think of a more impactful way of saying this than being there in person. Please join us!
Yours for the Peninsula,
James Komendera
