Santa arrived on the Old Mission Peninsula over the weekend! In fact, he rode in on a Peninsula Township fire truck to Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church, where happy kids confided in him about what they wanted for Christmas.

It reminds me of the old days when kids from all over would visit Santa (aka Bob DeVol) at the Peninsula Township Fire Department. Such happy memories.

Many thanks to Helen Mumford for the Santa photo. (And if you see Jack Lardie around the neighborhood, thank him for being an awesome Santa!)

We need your support...

We rely on generous reader support to keep doing what we do, and every contribution, big or small, is valuable. Click HERE to support Old Mission Gazette. Thank you!

  1. hey Jane do you happen to have any photos of Bob DeVol as Santa? I used to work for him during the summer months at Lardie’s store.
