Lighthouse Wine Label Winner Chosen at Bowers Harbor Vineyards Event

A winner has been chosen! For the annual Mission Point Lighthouse Wine Label contest, that is. Ruth Kitchen took home the prize of $250 for her winning wine label design and will be featured on the Bowers Harbor Lighthouse Pinot Grigio to be released this spring.

The contest, a collaborative effort between Bowers Harbor Vineyards and the Mission Point Lighthouse Friends group, was narrowed to three finalists, including Kitchen, Janet Oliver and Jim Smania. At a special event at Bowers Harbor Vineyards on Friday, participants voted for their favorite design with dollars.

This annual event also serves as a fundraiser that directly benefits Mission Point Lighthouse, with the funds used for improvements to the building and educational displays.

The fun gathering, which took place in Bowers Harbor Vineyard’s heated outdoor tent, included two wine tastings and a variety of tasty hors d’oeuvres.
