Chateau Chantal, one of the longest-running wineries on the Old Mission Peninsula, has several summer and fall job positions available, including tasting room servers and bussers (full hourly wage plus tips), bed & breakfast front desk and housekeeping, culinery intern and wine dinner servers (hourly wage plus gratuity).
I can tell you personally that Chateau Chantal is a great place to work, run by a lovely family, the Begins. My daughter worked there for a couple of years before heading off to college, and she had a great experience and learned a lot. In fact, her major at MSU is Business Hospitality, and I know her time at Chateau Chantal had a lot to do with that.
Old Mission Gazette is Reader Supported.

Here she is with Bob Begin (right), Marie-Chantal Dalese (Bob’s daughter), and Kyle Brownley, while home over Christmas break.

Plus, you get a 50 percent discount on wine! And bonuses! Honestly, if I didn’t have Old Mission Gazette to run, I’d apply there myself.
Chateau Chantal is located at 15900 Rue de Vin on the Old Mission Peninsula (directly across from my brother Dean Johnson’s farm on the corner of Center Road and Kroupa Road).

A NOTE FROM JANE: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers like the New York Times and Los Angeles Times, and magazines like Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So of course, I started my own newspaper. Because the Gazette is mainly reader-supported, I hope you'll consider tossing a few bucks my way if I mention your event, your business, your organization or your news item, or if you simply love reading about what's happening on the Old Mission Peninsula. Check out the donation page here. Thank you so much for your support. -jb
