The items are available to view and bid on at Peninsula Community Library through 3 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, May 11. All proceeds go towards building the new library, to be located on the corner of Center Road and Island View Road on the Old Mission Peninsula. Read more about the new library here.

And there are some amazing items, including many handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces such as lap blankets, felted knitwear and jewelry; a variety of wine; candy and goodies (I spotted a box of chocolate-covered dried cherries); book collections; a Baldwin piano; items for kids; a beautiful vintage typewriter; a tour of Mission Point Lighthouse; assorted home décor items; gift certificates for Old Mission produce, flowers, classes, massages, stores and even a fishing trip – and so much more.
Old Mission Gazette donated an assortment of items from our sister site, the Old Mission Peninsula Store, including OMP bumper stickers, hats, photo prints from yours truly, a calendar, greeting cards and more.

SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT LOCAL NEWSPAPER: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So I started my own newspaper.
