Heads up, OMP residents! Peninsula Drive will be closed on Saturday, July 7, 6:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the Festival of Races. Both lanes will be closed from the forks (intersection of Center Road and Peninsula Drive in by town) north on Peninsula Drive to Montmorency Lane.
There are four races that day. The 5K and 10K are mainly in town, with the 10K winding through the roads near Northwestern Michigan College. The 15K goes out East Shore Road to McKinley Road to Peninsula Drive and back to town (I do not believe East Shore Road and McKinley Road will be closed).

The Half-Marathon is the main one on the OMP. It begins at Chateau Grand Traverse, winds through orchards and property to Montmorency Lane to Peninsula Drive and back to town. All the races end on Front Street in town.
