Mission Point Lighthouse manager Ginger Schultz sent a note along that she’s looking for a few volunteers to help spiff up the barrier posts along the road where the War Memorial is located, at the very end of M37, on the road right next to the lighthouse.

The barrier posts are rotted and in disrepair, and need to be replaced. Ginger says her lighthouse budget will pay for the materials, but the Park Board is looking for a few good volunteers to do the work.

There are more than 30 short posts, and if the new posts are dry, they will need to be painted, as well.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in helping with, contact Ginger at (231) 645-0759, or email [email protected].
