We know it’s still September, but before you know it, the holidays will be upon us and people will be searching for those perfect holiday gifts – YOUR perfect holiday gifts. That’s where the OMP Holiday Gift Guide comes in.
At Old Mission Gazette, the OMP’s only daily news source, we love it when people “buy local.” And we’d love to promote your products and services as we head into the holidays.
With an average of 3.5 million readers monthly on the Gazette website, 10,000+ subscribers to our email newsletter (about 75% on the OMP and in the Grand Traverse region), and a devoted readership on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, the OMP Holiday Gift Guide is the perfect way to let folks know about your products and services.
How It Works
We’ll have a dedicated OMP Holiday Gift Guide page on the Gazette website. This page will be similar to our Business Directory here.
We’ll also send the Gift Guide out to our email subscribers a total of six times – twice in October, twice in November and twice in December. These will be special newsletters, separate from our regular Gazette newsletters. The Gift Guide newsletters will be sent on these dates:
- October 10 & 24
- November 7 & 23 (Black Friday; we’ll also note CyberMonday on Nov. 26)
- December 5 & 12
We’ll also promote the Gift Guide in our regular Gazette newsletters (twice weekly), as well as on our social media channels.
How To Sign Up
Email Gazette Editor Jane Boursaw at [email protected] with the subject line OMP Holiday Gift Guide. Include the following in your email:
- Your business name (or however you’d like to be listed)
- Any of the following you’d like included: Business address, website address, email, phone number and social media accounts (include links to your social media accounts).
- Description of your product or service: Up to 100 words
- How people can get your product or service
- Hi-Res photo or graphic of your product or service, at least 1000 x 1000 pixels
How Much Does It Cost?
- $60 if you sign up by Sept. 30, 2018
- $100 if you sign up after Sept. 30, 2018
When I receive your email with the above info, I’ll send you an invoice.
Gift Guide FAQs
Can I just do one or two months and pay less? No, this is a one-time package deal. If you don’t have the info to me in time for the October newsletters, I’m happy to add you in later, but the cost is still the same.
Do I have to sign a contract? No, as with our trusted Old Mission Gazette advertisers (click here if you’d like to be an ongoing advertiser), we do not require anyone to sign a contract.
I am one of your ongoing advertisers in Old Mission Gazette. Do I get a deal? Yes! If you are running a paid ad with us through at least the end of 2018, you get 20 percent off the regular cost of the OMP Holiday Gift Guide. Your cost will be $48 through Sept. 30; $80 after Sept. 30.
Why should I sign up for the OMP Holiday Gift Guide? As mentioned, we average about 3.5 million readers monthly, we have 10,000+ email newsletter subscribers (about 75 percent are local), and we have a devoted following on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. And we LOVE promoting local entrepreneurs and businesses. This is the perfect way to let people know about your product or service.
Who will be included in the OMP Holiday Gift Guide? Anyone with a product or service they’d like to promote for the holidays. Artists, crafters, writers, musicians, farmers, shop owners, online entrepreneurs, health professionals (yoga, massage, etc.), and business owners.
Do I have to live on the Old Mission Peninsula or in the Grand Traverse region? No! But we do ask that you have some connection to the area.
