Learn about Peninsula Fire Department’s efforts to get Advanced Life Support (ALS) on the Old Mission Peninsula, as well as how new staffing at Fire Station 2 is helping to decrease response times and increase safety with more responders to each call.

The Michigan Blood bus will also be on hand for blood donations. Give a pint of blood and receive a pint of Culver’s custard! The Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Department will have some of their officers and a K-9 unit on site, as well.

Fire Station 2 is located at 8150 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula (the station in towards town).

We need your support...

At a time when newspapers across the country are dying in droves, small community newspapers like Old Mission Gazette are the wave of the future. Owners Tim and Jane Boursaw are devoted to the Old Mission Peninsula community, and our editorial independence means we set our own agenda and voice our own opinions. But we need your ongoing support to keep delivering Old Mission Peninsula news, history, photos and more. We rely on generous reader support to keep doing what we do, and every contribution, big or small, is valuable. Click HERE to support Old Mission Gazette. Thank you!
