Heads up, OMPers! Consumers Energy will be shutting down the power on Saturday, Nov. 3, beginning around 12:05 a.m. for about six hours through 6:05 a.m.
The outage, affecting 3,382 customers, will allow Consumers Energy workers to safely make electrical repairs to a substation that serves much of the Peninsula. The repairs are related to ongoing reliability improvements to OMP customers during the past year.

Consumers Energy has mailed postcards to all the customers in the outage area. The original date was in mid-October but was rescheduled to accommodate agricultural customers with fall harvest operations.
The backup date, if needed, is Sunday, Nov. 4, during the same timeframe.
