There are some really fascinating ice sculptures (made by nature) on the beach out at Mission Point Lighthouse right now. Today’s Photo of the Day is one of those sculptures at the first turn-off on the left past the open space on Center Road. (The second turn-off if you count the tiny one next to the open space.)
It’s super cold out there, made even colder by the wind whipping off of West Bay onto the beach. So if you venture out there, wear multiple layers, thick gloves and boots made for trekking through a couple feet of snow. Well worth the effort, though! So gorgeous.

This photo is also available for sale on my new photo site, OldMissionPhotos.com (I’ll announce it officially in a separate post. OMPstore.com isn’t going away, but I’m moving photos to the new site because they have their own special requirements and the new site makes it way easier to sell them there.)
