Old Mission Gazette readers send us photos. Awesome photos of what’s going on around the Old Mission Peninsula neighborhood. Have a great photo you’d like us to publish on Old Mission Gazette? Email it to me, [email protected]. High-resolution is best – at least 1500 pixels on the long edge.

Roving Photographer Curt Peterson sent the above photo taken at Power Island. They live on the west side of the Old Mission Peninsula and had just walked across the ice from the shoreline along Peninsula Drive to Power Island. You go, guys!

Likewise, Lisa Flaska Erickson, who also lives on the west side of the Old Mission Peninsula, trekked across the bay and took a picture from the other side. “An easy way to find your way home. Follow your footsteps back!” she wrote on Facebook. “Crossing a frozen Grand Traverse Bay on a gorgeous winters day.”

And David Tucker sent along this lovely photo of the Super Moon last week. These moons are called “super” because of their relatively close proximity to the earth, making them seem bigger than normal. Read more here.
