Today’s Photo of the Day is courtesy of these frosted cherry trees next to the Johnson Farms cooling pad, about a quarter-mile north of Mapleton.
The wind was howling last night, with ice pelting the windows, but the result of that wild weather is the winter wonderland we’re in the midst of today. All the trees look like they’ve been frosted on one of those baking shows.

Cherry blossom time is just a mere two months away – if the timing holds like it did last year, when we had blossoms around mid-May.
